“Extreme Makeover: Social Media Edition -Tweet the Rainbow”
Skittles, (everyone’s favorite candy that nobody knows what the hell it’s made out of) attempted to pull off one of the biggest marketing stunt this side of the confectionary aisle, with a “Chatter” link that pulls up the results of the word “skittles” on Twitter. Yesterday The packaged goods brand took over Twitter in what was supposed to generate buzz for the brand. Turns out instead of the brand loyalty Skittles hoped for, the site was flooded with people tweeting smack about the product. Hey, as the saying goes, there’s no such thing as bad PR, right?!?
